European Closed (Deluxe) Helmet

European Closed Helmet Engraved is the replica of the 15th-16th century classic Knight's close-helmet. The full visor and bevor are pivoted from bolts on each side of the skull. The helmet is constructed of 18 gauge steel. The European Closed Helmet is fully functional.
It's distinguished by being the first helmet of its era to completely enclose the head while being compact and light enough to move with the wearer. A typical armet was made of four pieces: the skull, two cheek plates and the visor. The armet was most popular in Italy and England, while Germany and the surrounding countries preferred the sallet helmet. It is believed by some that the close helmet resulted from a combination of different elements of each.
