Medieval Italian Armor Helmet / Bellows Visor Helmet
This is a 16th Century Italian armor helmet with distinctive bellows visor. As a visor was used in medieval armor helmet like bascinet helmets. The visor of this helmet made from a hinged piece of iron steel. This also contains breathing holes (breathe opening) and vision opening. Visor protected the user face during battle and wars. Knights who wore visors were easily spotted on horses during war or in tournaments.
Italian Armor helmet / Milanese Helmet are typically made from long plates than their Gothic German counterparts. They have some fluting, extra curvaceous. A fancy rounded edges flow was given to this helmet by Italians. Our Italian helmet is a robust, tough replica of the 15th century Italian Amour Helmet / Milanese Helmet.
This helmet is totally hand made, made from A -36, 16 gauge low carbon mild steel. This helmet has fully articulated hinged screen which allows for great safety and a very comfortable fitting. Please note that we supply this helmet pre-oiled for protection.
